Staff Project Controls Specialist

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring Staff Project Controls Specialist in Wallingford, CT

As a Staff Project Controls Specialist, you will:

• Lead project controls processes and support project delivery within budget and schedule.
• This role will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting.

• Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software; analyze data, logs, and reports.
• Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
• Support engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
• Approve purchase orders/subcontracts for proper coding, input, and document cost changes.
• Interface with project management and accounting teams to review costs, contingencies, and audits.
• Review and manage change orders (prime contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts).
• Prepare and present cash flow reports and schedule reports, monitor resource loading and progress.
• Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM) and consult on schedule progress.
• Apply critical path scheduling techniques; perform schedule what? If scenarios.
• Develop and maintain earned value management systems, progress measurement, and progress curves.
• Perform material takeoffs, quality checks, and field audits to validate reporting accuracy.
• Assist with project forensic analysis and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; 3+ years of direct project controls experience (or equivalent experience in place of degree).
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA 10-hour safety certification (or ability to obtain).

Pay Range: $50 to $53 per Hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
