You'll lead product development end-to-end, driving innovation in a technically demanding, high-precision environment.
What You'll Do (Job Duties)
- Lead product development from concept through validation and manufacturing transition
- Design mechanical systems, tooling, and equipment for precision optical applications
- Apply DFM/DFA principles and GD&T to optimize designs for performance and manufacturability
- Select materials and components to meet demanding technical and environmental requirements
- Conduct design reviews and manage verification and validation activities
- Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and change control
- Drive continuous improvement, including additive manufacturing methods
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Manage multiple project timelines and technical priorities simultaneously
What You Bring (Requirements and Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of design engineering experience
- Strong product development and project management background
- Advanced CAD proficiency; Autodesk Inventor experience preferred (training available)
- Deep understanding of GD&T and machining/manufacturing methods
