Summary

Please note that this is a 4-months contract position, onsite.

Qualifications:

  • The client is looking for someone with SAP experience, as this is a daily task- they work in SAP to manage all raw materials.
  • Contract negotiations are primarily when quoting with suppliers, and the candidate should be able to start the buyer experience, as that is the lead skill.
  • Also includes more administrative tasks, such as responding to accounts payable (receive a couple dozen notices per week) and entering orders in Ariba, a skill in which the candidate should have advanced experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate certification and/or license may be required.
  • Typically, at least 4+ years of relevant experience for entry into this level.
  • Job Specific Systems: SAP ERP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Description:

  • Responsible for the procurement and inventory management of the client s manufacturing materials, components, equipment, and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
  • Coordinate material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects in collaboration with R&D and Marketing.
  • Establish and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance, and researching, selecting, and analyzing the market supply base.
  • May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure the best total cost of ownership, availability, and inventory optimization.
  • May contribute to improvement efforts such as resourcing, supply chain enhancements, risk mitigation/avoidance, cost reduction, assurance of supply, and/or quality.
  • May consider specific regulatory or compliance regulations pertaining to particular categories or products.
