Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Python Developer with a strong background in cloud-native application development, serverless architecture, and AWS infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable event-driven applications using AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.

This role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, optimize serverless workloads, and build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services.
  • Build and support serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and EventBridge.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using API Gateway and Python.
  • Configure and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation (CloudBlocks experience is a plus).
  • Manage cross-account IAM roles, permissions, and S3 security policies.
  • Build scalable event-driven architectures using asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments using GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Follow AWS security best practices and implement secure coding standards.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS development experience.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Experience developing cloud-native microservices and REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including:
    • AWS Lambda
    • API Gateway
    • EventBridge
    • SNS
    • SQS
    • Step Functions
    • S3
    • IAM
    • EC2
    • DynamoDB
    • RDS
    • ECS/EKS
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Serverless Architecture
    • Event-Driven Architecture
    • Distributed Systems
    • Asynchronous Messaging
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, or FinTech.
  • AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Experience with Kafka or Amazon MSK.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and IAM governance.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale AWS environments.
