Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with a strong focus on Palo Alto Networks Security to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 7 -10 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructures. This role requires a deep understanding of network security principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
§ Design, implement, and manage network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks technologies.
§ Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
§ Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure network security policies and procedures are adhered to.
§ Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
§ Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
§ Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends and recommend improvements to existing security measures.
§ Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
§ Participate in on call rotation and respond to network incidents as needed.
§ The SME is expected to provide on call support on an as required basis
Mandatory Skills:
§ Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks Security products and solutions.
§ In depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
§ Experience with firewall configuration and management.
§ Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
§ Solid understanding of VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions.
§ Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
Preferred Skills:
§ Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent.
§ Experience with cloud networking and security solutions.
§ Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
§ Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA) and their application in network security.
Qualifications:
§ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
§ 7 10 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on security.
§ Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks products and solutions.
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
