Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for a residential apartment community in the Denver area. This assignment requires a dependable officer who can maintain a visible presence, remain alert throughout the shift, and respond professionally to onsite concerns.
The property experiences frequent activity during overnight hours, making strong awareness, sound judgment, and consistent patrol efforts essential. Officers should be comfortable working independently while maintaining professional communication with residents, visitors, and management.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout the property
- Conduct routine foot patrols of parking areas, common spaces, and building exteriors
- Monitor for unauthorized activity, trespassing, disturbances, or safety concerns
- Respond appropriately to onsite incidents and follow post procedures
- Observe and document suspicious activity or policy violations
- Assist with maintaining order and supporting a safe residential environment
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs with accurate details
- Communicate with supervisors, property contacts, and emergency personnel when necessary
- Follow all company policies, post orders, and applicable laws regarding armed security operations
Minimum Qualifications - Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security personnel
- Personal firearm required for duty assignments
- Ability to obtain a Denver Guard Card and firearm endorsement
- Strong situational awareness and professional judgment
- Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts consistently
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications - Previous armed security, patrol, or residential security experience preferred
- Experience handling high-activity or high-traffic environments is beneficial
- Familiarity with report writing and incident documentation
- Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations
Work Environment - Residential apartment complex with active overnight traffic
- Combination of indoor and outdoor patrol responsibilities
- Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the property
- Overnight schedule requiring consistent attention and visibility
