Location: Addison, TX – Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Role Overview

Seeking a Sr. Azure Data Engineer / Technical Lead who is highly hands-on with Azure data engineering and can lead a distributed team. This person will manage 2 onsite Data Engineers and 3 offshore Data Engineers in India, while remaining actively involved in architecture, coding, troubleshooting, and production support.

Must-Have Technical Skills

8+ years of Data Engineering experience
Azure Data Engineering
Databricks – strong hands-on experience
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Microsoft Fabric / OneLake
Azure Synapse Analytics
Strong SQL & Data Modeling
ETL/ELT & enterprise data pipelines
Production support, troubleshooting & performance tuning
Medallion Architecture – Bronze/Silver/Gold
Power BI / DirectLake exposure

Leadership Requirements

Experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Data Engineer
Ability to manage and mentor onsite and offshore resources
Experience working with distributed/offshore teams
Set technical standards, review code/designs and provide technical direction
Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills
Proactive, self-sufficient and comfortable handling production issues

Preferred

Microsoft Fabric production experience/certification
Dynamics 365 F&O data experience
Experience migrating from legacy Azure data platforms to Microsoft Fabric
Experience supporting financial/operational reporting
