HR Project Manager – HR Transformation / Workday - W2 contract only

Rate: hourly on W2 contract with (no benefits)
Duration: 6 months contract + extension 

Our client is seeking a Senior HR Transformation Project Manager to support a large-scale enterprise HR modernization initiative focused on Job & Skills Architecture (JSA) and alignment with a major Workday implementation.The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex HR transformation programs, coordinating multiple workstreams and external vendors, managing project governance and risks, and partnering with senior HR stakeholders to drive process modernization and successful implementation.

Scope of Services

1. Program Delivery & Milestone Management
2. Maintain the integrated JSA project plan with Workday Alignment.
3. Drive project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to completion.
4. Coordinate activities across ACS stakeholders and multiple external vendor partners, including key milestones.
5. Track progress against approved project schedule and critical milestones.
6. Deliverable: Updated project plan and weekly status report.

2. Workstream Coordination

• Ensure alignment across JSA, Workday, Compensation, HRBP, Change Management, Communications, and Governance workstreams.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and integration points.
• Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and sponsor decision points.
• Deliverable: Dependency tracker and workstream alignment updates.

3. RAID & Governance Management

• Maintain project RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Escalate issues requiring leadership decisions.
• Maintain decision log and governance reporting.
• Deliverable: Weekly RAID log and decision tracker.

4. Executive & Vendor Management Support

• Coordinate deliverables and timelines with the external vendor.
• Prepare materials for governance and sponsor meetings.
• Provide executive-level project health reporting.
• Track action items through closure.
• Deliverable: Executive dashboard and governance updates.

Required  Qualifications: 

• PMP Certification.
• 7+ years project/program management experience.
• Experience leading HR transformation or HR technology initiatives.
• Experience managing third-party vendors.
• Strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Workday implementations and HR operating processes.

Preferred:

• Experience with Job Architecture / Job & Skills Architecture.

• Experience with Korn Ferry methodology.

• Experience with Compensation or Total Rewards.

• HRBP experience or strong understanding of HR business processes.

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or UKG.

• Experience supporting large-scale migration from legacy HR systems to Workday.

• PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
