Pay Range: $66.00hr - $71.00hr
Job Overview:
The candidate will serve in an operational, service, consultancy, or support role within a mainframe operations environment. Key responsibilities include managing z/OS automation migration projects, writing REXX scripts, utilizing TSO, ISPF, and JCL, and working with NetView and System Automation software across mainframe systems.
- Possess 5+ years of experience working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy, or support role.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use TSO and ISPF.
- Possess strong JCL skills.
- Ability to write REXX and maintain working knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
- Experience with z/OS Automation Migration Projects.
- Experience implementing and using products such as NetView for z/OS, System Automation for z/OS, and CA OPS/MVS, with a desire to expand skills to cover additional tools.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of other Z software, including system operation, configuration and automation, z/OS system startup and shutdown, and SMP/E.
- Knowledge of products that compete against primary IBM mainframe automation offerings.
- Experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z.
