Job Title: Lead Integration Engineer

Location: Roseland, NJ (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: Contract (6+ Months, with potential extension)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Lead Integration Engineer on behalf of our client in Roseland, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in enterprise integration and middleware technologies.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting scalable integration solutions, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across internal systems and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise integration solutions
  • Manage middleware platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and security
  • Develop and support B2B file transfer workflows and partner onboarding processes
  • Build and maintain message flows, routing logic, and error handling mechanisms
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Application, Infrastructure, Security, and Business stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise integration and security best practices
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Middleware / Enterprise Integration
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
    • IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
  • Experience with B2B integrations and partner onboarding
  • Proficiency in ESQL, message flows, and integration nodes
  • Experience with file transfer protocols: SFTP, AS2, FTP/S
  • Strong understanding of security protocols (TLS, PGP)
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, logging, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python)
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or IBM MQ Monitoring
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
