W2 POSITION

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for technology, cloud, and data initiatives involving AWS and Databricks. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage delivery impediments, coordinate cross-functional technical teams, and ensure effective project tracking through Jira.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, excellent stakeholder-management skills, and a good understanding of AWS, Databricks, data engineering, cloud platforms, and software delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development, cloud, and data engineering teams.
Manage Agile project activities using Jira, including epics, stories, tasks, defects, sprints, workflows, and dashboards.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain, refine, and prioritize the product backlog.
Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments through Jira.
Identify, track, and remove team impediments and delivery blockers.
Coordinate dependencies across AWS, Databricks, DevOps, Data Engineering, QA, and Application Development teams.
Facilitate technical discussions between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Support planning and delivery of AWS cloud-based applications and infrastructure initiatives.
Coordinate projects involving Databricks data platforms, data pipelines, analytics, and lakehouse solutions.
Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate status to stakeholders.
Ensure teams follow Agile/Scrum processes while adapting practices to project requirements.
Promote transparency, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate retrospective action items and follow up to ensure improvements are implemented.
Support release planning and coordination across multiple teams.
Prepare and communicate Agile metrics and project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Proactively identify delivery risks and coordinate mitigation plans.
Ensure Jira boards and project documentation remain accurate and up to date.

Required Skills:

12+ years of experience in Agile project delivery, with significant experience as a Scrum Master.
Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile methodologies, SDLC, and software delivery practices.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Jira Agile boards.
Experience managing technology projects involving AWS.
Working knowledge of Databricks and modern data engineering/data-platform environments.
Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
Strong understanding of sprint planning, backlog management, estimation, release planning, and dependency management.
Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams
