Job DetailsWe are seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to be the face of our company in the field. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and technical repair of high precision CNC machines and automation systems at customer facilities across the West Coast and Chicago area.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines.
- Install, commission, and test CNC milling machines and associated automation equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize customer productivity.
- Provide technical expertise and machine demonstrations during customer site visits.
- Accurately document all service activities, including labor time and technical issues encountered.
- Deliver remote and telephone troubleshooting support to provide technical guidance to customers.
Qualifications
- 3+ years as a Field Service Engineer in the CNC or machine tool industry.
- Strong ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC issues.
- Solid understanding of CNC milling; experience with Heidenhain controllers is a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and complex engineering drawings.
- Ability to travel up to 75% domestically and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean record.
