Summary

This role provides leadership and oversight to the IT infrastructure teams and is responsible for defining vision, formulating strategies, creating road maps and implementing processes to ensure the delivery of mission critical customer-facing software, services, and infrastructure. Working in collaboration with the broader IT organization, the role is responsible for partnering to bring customer centric solutions to the market.

  • Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, labor planning and forecasting, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Lead dynamic teams responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, security, and management of our global IT infrastructure spanning multi-cloud architecture, global networking, endpoint management, and enterprise applications while driving cloud FinOps, Zero Trust architecture, and infrastructure automation.
  • Overseeing multi-cloud architecture, design, and deployment across Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and OCI environments.
  • Driving infrastructure automation and deployments utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Own reliability, resilience, and business continuity for infrastructure services, including DR strategy, backup architecture, recovery objectives, regular testing/exercises, and post-incident reviews.
  • Partner with Information Security and Cybersecurity to embed security-by-design and zero-trust principles, including privileged access, configuration standards, vulnerability remediation, logging, and compliance controls for cloud and on-prem platforms.
  • Lead development and implementation of processes to aid in demand management, prioritization and sequencing of customer/operation needs, programs and projects
  • Establish and monitor system Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction, including processes and procedures for incident and outage management
  • Provide executive-level technical leadership and architecture governance for infrastructure decisions, set standards and reference architecture, review and approve major designs and changes.
  • Partner for vendor, product, software, and service evaluations
  • Actively participates in leadership development activities, including succession planning, coaching, mentoring and individual development planning to raise standards and increase expectations for leadership and performance
  • Other duties as necessary

:
  • Bachelors degree in related field & 8 years of experience OR Associate degree in related field & 10 years of experience OR 12 years of experience
  • 6 years of supervisory or management experience

Preferred :
  • Masters of Business or Science
  • Management experience in a Logistics or Transportation environment

  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to influence effectively at multiple levels, to gain buy-in and support of key strategies and initiatives
  • Demonstrated self-confidence, particularly with client relationships; strong relationship building skills and active listening skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, teammates, customers, and the public.
  • A proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports and subordinates.
  • Understanding of agile principles and methodologies.
  • Leading resources and managing relationships with a Managed Technical Services (MTS) alternate delivery sourcing model
  • Results oriented, highly motivated, and technically fluent in all aspects of software design and development
  • Experience leading, communicating and managing globally dispersed development teams
