Description
Our client is currently looking for a Clinical Applications Analyst to support the AthenaOne and other physician systems in order to close a critical gap for the organization's providers. The Clinical Applications Analyst will serve as the go-to resource for Athena optimizations, physician facing applications and project implementations, while working hand in hand with clinicians to improve documentation, orders and overall workflow efficiency. The individual will also collaborate with current Analysts to ensure smooth cross system alignment.
-- Partner with physicians to optimize AthenaOne documentation, orders/templates, routing and coding alignment; coordinate changes with Athena support resources.
-- Lead/coordinate implementations for physician facing tools (e.g., Athena Ambient AI, imaging adjacent software), including user acceptance testing (UAT), go-lives and hypercare.
-- Conduct workflow rounding with providers; capture pain points and deliver quick wins and a prioritized backlog.
-- Translate clinical requirements into clear build/configuration tickets, test changes and communicate updates with concise job aids.
-- Collaborate with current Analysts to ensure changes in Athena don't impact downstream processes (ADT, orders, billing, quality reports).
-- Participate in ticket management (ServiceNow), triage issues, escalate interface/HL7 concerns and conduct follow-ups with end users.
-- Support the leadership and quality/performance improvement (PI) teams by validating cross system data outputs.
-- Develop a 60-90 day stabilization roadmap with early wins, measurable outcomes and recommendations for longer term improvements.
Required Skills
-- 5+ years of experience in clinical applications, informatics and/or health information technology (IT).
-- Experience in AthenaOne, including application support/optimizations.
-- Experience in ServiceNow (or a similar product).
-- Understanding of HL7/ADT concepts.
-- Ability to develop strong relationships with physicians.
-- Solid communication, issue resolution, project coordination/management and follow-through skills.
-- Knowledge of HIPAA/privacy policies and the ability to handle protected health information (PHI) appropriately.
Preferred Skills
-- Experience in Athena Ambient AI.
-- Experience in MEDITECH Expanse, PACS and/or surgery workflow communication applications.
-- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (IS), Health Informatics or Nursing/Allied Health.
-- Clinical experience.
-- CHCIO/CPHIMS/Lean/Six Sigma foundations certifications.
