Low Voltage / DAS Installation TechnicianJob Overview We are seeking an
experienced Low Voltage / DAS Installation Technician to support large-scale in-building wireless and low voltage infrastructure projects. This role focuses
on the installation, maintenance, and support of distributed antenna systems (DAS) and related low voltage systems across a variety of environments.
Scope of Work- Install and maintain in-building wireless systems, including DAS, IDAS/ODAS, public safety systems, fiber, and coax
- Support both new construction and existing facilities, including campuses and multi-building environments
- Perform low voltage installation tasks such as rack and stack, dressing and labeling, and system cleanup
- Work with coaxial and fiber-based DAS systems
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and system verification
- Interpret blueprints and construction drawings to lead and support job execution
- Capture job photos, complete documentation, and report progress to project leadership
Technical Experience- Hands-on experience with DAS, low voltage, voice, and data systems
- Proficiency installing and terminating low voltage coax (including 1/2" coax)
- Experience with fiber pulling and basic testing; terminating and splicing experience is a plus
- Familiarity with common DAS and wireless equipment manufacturers and testing tools
- Understanding of industry best practices for structured cabling and wireless infrastructure
Team & Leadership- Work in small teams, typically serving as a lead technician with a helper
- Provide light job leadership including task delegation and on-site coordination
- Ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met
Travel Requirements- Must be open to regional and occasional out-of-state travel (up to approximately 50% in peak periods)
- Overnight travel may be required during certain project phases
- Company vehicle provided for travel
- Lodging and daily per diem provided when traveling overnight
Schedule & Employment Details- Full-time schedule, typically 40 hours per week
- Overtime opportunities may be available
- Long-term opportunity with potential for full-time conversion after an initial contract period
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in wireless DAS OR low voltage installation
- Strong understanding of coax and fiber-based systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in commercial, institutional, and campus-style environments
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
