Desktop Support Technician - Jeffersonville, OH (6-Month Contract)

SHIFT REQUIREMENT: Choose one of two shifts:

• Shift 1: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Shift 2: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

You must be available and open to working one of these shifts. This is 100% onsite.

The Role:
We're hiring Desktop Support Technicians for a 6-month contract in Jeffersonville, OH. You'll provide hands-on technical support for hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, deploy equipment, and help maintain IT assets. This is onsite, shift work where you'll gain real experience supporting end users and building your technical skills.
What You'll Do:

• Provide hands-on technical assistance to end users for hardware and software issues
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows 10/11)
• Set up and deploy new computers, laptops, and other hardware devices
• Perform hardware repairs and upgrades
• Assist users with installing, configuring, and updating software applications including Office 365
• Troubleshoot software errors, compatibility issues, and system crashes
• Log all technical issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system
• Escalate complex issues to IT staff as needed
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory
• Track allocation, movement, and disposal of IT assets

What You Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or IT degree are a plus)
• Experience providing deskside support, technical assistance, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Office 365
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
• Customer-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection
• Experience with imaging and deployment is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
