Product Manager for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Regulatory clients in
the DMV area. The Senior Analyst conducts business analysis activities for one or more functional areas of the program, guiding features and enhancements through the software development lifecycle including but not limited to: initial scoping, production rollout, and post-launch evaluation. This includes requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and acceptance in collaboration with the external client, user representatives, and internal engineering teams (development, quality control, architecture, etc.). The Senior Analyst will act as a liaison between the stakeholders and the product/delivery team to develop a shared understanding of business needs and priorities and the technology approach to satisfy those needs. In addition, the Senior Analyst will act as a liaison between and subject matter expert for internal and client user testing, training, and product support teams with respect to the assigned functional area(s).
Responsibilities :
- Enable development team(s) and client business analyst(s) by understanding and communicating business needs and priorities (stated and unstated), leading the product requirements effort, advising on and understanding technical solutions, defining criteria for success, and performing other related product analyst activities as needed throughout the software development life cycle to meet specific business needs and overall strategic goals of the program.
- Facilitate the flow of information between stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of needs and deliverables.
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, review and acceptance of functional and operational requirements for assigned functionality, ensuring the defined business needs have been met.
- Create artifacts to efficiently and effectively elicit and confirm requirements such as process and workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and decision tables, engaging other teams as needed, such as UX/UI experts, engineering, and security.
- Collaborate with development team and client business analyst to prepare stories and tasks for development and testing including finalizing requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring the team has a thorough understanding of the ask, resolving any open issues, and facilitating the estimation of work.
- Support planning by ensuring that stories and tasks have been finalized, estimates are accurate, and outstanding issues have been resolved and by working collaboratively with engineering and quality assurance to understand team velocity and assign reasonable workload.
- Engage related teams including user testing, training, data quality and product support as needed.
- Proactively assess delivered functionality to ensure the produced software meets requirements and addresses the business need.
- Proactively identify and resolve action items, technical and business policy issues, and risks, escalating those that threaten successful implementation.
- Identify work processes that need to be created or updated to effectively support and complement the technical implementation; work with appropriate internal and client resources as needed.
- Create and present information to internal stakeholders, the client, and end users across various levels in an effective manner.
- Support production releases to ensure successful implementation (may require support outside of typical work hours).
Required Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field OR 6+ years' experience on a cross-functional team responsible for software development
- Experience using agile development practices to successfully deliver software
- Demonstrated ability to quickly obtain necessary knowledge of product domain, users, and policies
- Knowledge of SQL or similar hands-on data analytics platform preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and business problems/processes
- Experience handling multiple assignments simultaneously with competing priorities
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with registration and licensing system and/or mortgage or insurance domains beneficial
- Working knowledge of Confluence (Wiki), JIRA, and MIRO preferred
