Plays a key role in business process workshops to understand the current and future state business processes. Assesses the change impacts on the organization and roles and leads or partners with a Communications lead to ensure targeted messaging accurately describes the change to appropriate audiences. Partners with training experts to develop a training program that ensures end users are engaged, knowledgeable, and able to adopt change during the implementation phase. Leads the effort to identify measurement methodologies to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes, and adjusts change management strategies and tactics as necessary. Issues regular reports to project leadership, escalating risks that may lead to an unsuccessful launch of projects and puts forward a plan to mitigate.

Develops and executes against a comprehensive, actionable, and targeted change management plan surrounding change to people, processes, workflows, and systems. Applies a structured approach and methodology for the five change management domains related to the people-side of change, including stakeholder analysis, coaching plans, communications, training, and resistance management plans. Develops and conducts readiness assessments, analyzes results, and presents findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner to sponsors and stakeholders.

Collaborates with Project Manager to integrate change management plans/activities into overall project plan. Works as a member of project leadership team, ensuring change management strategy is at the forefront of project activities and impact to the stakeholders is continually evaluated and acted upon to minimize stakeholder resistance. Ensures assigned projects meets business, schedule, and budget objectives for change management activities.

Provides subject matter expertise and guidance on the management of changes by advising/coaching stakeholders, leaders, and managers on the execution of established change management activities, including communications, change sponsorship, education and training, and ongoing support. Leads or coaches the team to identify potential people-side risks, analyze KPIs and anticipated points of resistance, and recommends and/or develops mitigation plans with Project Manager and Executive Sponsor to address the concerns commensurate with the project scope/engagement level. Builds and leads a sponsorship coalition, including the executive sponsor, leaders/managers, designated project champions, and stakeholders who will be key champions of change, reinforcing awareness within the organization. Partners with the executive sponsor throughout the change process to actively and visibly participate, establish an organizational understanding, and sense of urgency to prioritize the change.

Provides organizational change consultations and/or training to project teams/sponsors for assigned engagements. Develops and/or coaches team on conducting assessments, analyzes results, and presents findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner to sponsors and stakeholders. Provides

strategy/activity recommendations for project team execution with respect to Communications and Training.

Keeps current with business and strategic goals. Participates in and promotes the identification, recommendation, and delivery of improvement opportunities for the change management and project processes. Participates in the development and review of procedures for communications, training, change management, and project lifecycle processes. Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of related industry standards, best practices, regulations, and related technologies. Attends webinars, reads case studies and white papers, and participates in other opportunities to further refine skills and stay apprised on business analysis and project management topics.

Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Behavioral Psychology, Business or related field and 5 years of relevant experience establishing and implementing organizational change management and support required

Master's degree preferred

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience working with consulting resources preferred

Experience with higher education, larger medical center or large complex and distributed enterprise preferred

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including active listening and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences required

Strong group facilitation skills with demonstrated experience turning working session notes into high-quality deliverables required

Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal required

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, colleagues and staff required

Ability to work collaboratively with and through others required

Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges required

Strong organizational problem solving and root cause identification skills required

Prosci Organizational Change Management certification upon hire preferred
