Role Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer for a contract position. This role is part of the Hardware Test Engineering team, which is focused on next-generation robotic system design. The ideal candidate will use electrical experience and problem-solving skills to improve test execution capabilities while working with hardware development, program management, and other test team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Test Engineers, Hardware, and Software developers on testing tools and techniques.
- Develop test plans under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues.
- Design test subsystems and prepare documentation.
- Execute tests and acquire test data.
- Collect test data and document test artifacts and conditions.
- Troubleshoot electronic devices under test.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: This role requires 0-2 years of industry experience in testing hardware.
Technical Skills:- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Experience with board-level/SMD soldering.
- Experience with cable assembly and bring-up.
- Proficiency with standard electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition devices, digital multi-meters, and signal generators.
- Ability to understand and execute documented test procedures.
- Experience in circuit-level debug to the component level.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Experience executing simple scripts.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $27.00 and $37.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
