This is a Cloudera Platform Engineer role supporting a new initiative. The candidate will take ownership of project-related tasks and perform code reviews. As part of the team, the candidate must possess a passion for producing high-quality data solutions and be ready to solve complex problems. This position involves client interaction and requires the ability to work with minimal direction and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of project-related tasks and see them through to completion.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and technology groups to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.
- Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality data solutions.
- Work within an Agile team environment.
- Engage in client interactions as part of project scope.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering. Experience in large Hadoop environments is necessary.
Technical Skills:- Recent experience with Cloudera CDP Hadoop Administration.
- Strong background in Unix and Infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Spark, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience with Hive, Impala, and Ozone.
- Strong understanding of Java or Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in SQL.
- 5+ years of experience in Hadoop, with Cloudera experience being a plus.
- Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
