Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a newly forming team. This is an opportunity to establish SRE practices from the ground up, influencing the culture and approach for reliability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). You will also facilitate blameless post-mortems, manage error budgets, and conduct role-playing scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Develop and implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure service reliability.
- Lead blameless post-mortem discussions to identify root causes and prevent future incidents.
- Utilize coding skills to automate processes and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed reliability into the development lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and reliability metrics to business stakeholders.
- Drive improvements in the customer experience by focusing on service availability and performance.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A background in development or DevOps is beneficial.
Technical Skills:- Demonstrated SRE skillset with a strong understanding of SLIs and SLOs.
- The ability to code in any programming language.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and DevOps principles.
Soft Skills:- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical positions with confidence.
- An inquisitive nature with a passion for driving reliability and improving customer experience.
