Location: REDMOND, Washington (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Service Engineer to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software. This role will contribute to an internal capacity management project for a core storage service, focusing on managing and optimizing storage capacity. The position involves supporting a team that focuses on the management plane of storage, enabling customers to provision and manage resources and related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Write code in .Net C#, with knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions.
- Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
- Implement and customize system software to client requirements.
- Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
- Code new programs and create test data for testing.
- Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing.
- Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
- Provide quality assurance reviews and perform post-implementation validation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience is required, including large systems software design and development. A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design is necessary. Experience with in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with new and legacy production systems is also required.
Technical Skills: Hands-on coding experience in .Net C# is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Experience building automation, not just dashboards.
- Exposure to AI-driven workflows.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring work onsite 3 days a week. The standard schedule is Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
