Genesis10 is currently seeking a Platform Engineer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position located in Denver, CO.
Pay range: $56.00 - $66.00 per hour
Responsibilities: - Support the development of an internal granular load forecasting platform
- Build and maintain data pipelines within Databricks
- Integrate forecast inputs from multiple internal teams and ensure data flows reliably into the forecasting platform
- Develop ETL pipelines, workflows, and ingestion processes
- Support data cleanup and standardization
- Manage code deployment (Git, DBX asset bundles), testing, and production monitoring
- Coordinate with the platform engineering team to implement evolving data governance and security regulations
- Serve as a technical resource and liaison for the load forecasting team
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application platform issues across environments
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in platform/system engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture
- Strong Databricks experience
- Experience building ETL pipelines and workflows
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience integrating data from multiple teams/sources
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance consideration in enterprise systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and act as a liaison between IT, analysts, and data scientists
Desired skills: - Databricks certification
- Energy, power, or utilities industry experience
- Experience with non-standard data ingestion
- Familiarity with enterprise IT integration environments
- Experience supporting large-scale data migration efforts (i.e., SAP IS-U)
- Hands-on experience designing or supporting API-based and batch integrations
