Network Engineer

Contract Length: 6-month Contract to Hire

Location: Ft. Worth. TX

Hybrid **On-site 3 days and remote 2 days per week**

We re seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance our client s enterprise networking environment. In this role, you ll design, maintain, and optimize reliable network solutions, strengthen security, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across multiple systems and platforms. You ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced technology environment with exposure to modern networking and cloud technologies, while having clear opportunities to influence infrastructure and security improvements. Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking
  • CCNA or CCNP required
  • Strong background with Cisco routing and switching
  • Working knowledge of protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
  • Experience with DNS/DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and authentication tools
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, preferably Azure
  • Understanding of VoIP solutions and network monitoring platforms
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills is a must
  • Ability to lift and install networking equipment

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain network infrastructure and related systems
  • Support routing, switching, wireless, and voice technologies
  • Monitor network performance and quickly resolve issues
  • Maintain diagrams, documentation, and change records
  • Work with vendors and service providers on installations and repairs
  • Assist with network security controls, firewalls, VPNs, and policy updates
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Contribute to team projects and general IT initiatives
