Product Owner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Product Owner.

Summary:
We are seeking a high-impact Product Owner with strong Business Analysis skills to help stand up a brand-new enterprise-facing team. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, partner confidently with senior stakeholders and executives, and shape both the product vision and the delivery approach. This is not an order-taker role-curiosity, ownership, and the drive to build and grow with the team are essential. This position will be the first hire on a newly forming team and will play a key role in defining how work gets done, mentoring future team members, and driving end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities:
* Act as Product Owner while performing hands-on Business Analysis activities
* Partner closely with enterprise stakeholders, executive leadership, and IT teams to define product vision and priorities
* Lead requirements gathering efforts, including discovery sessions with agents and business users
* Translate business needs into clear, actionable artifacts such as BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Own and drive backlog creation, prioritization, and refinement
* Collaborate with IT and delivery teams as new teams and processes are established
* Learn agent workflows and operational needs to determine what capabilities should be built into supporting systems
* Mentor team members and help shape a collaborative, delivery-focused team culture
* Drive projects forward end to end, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution
* Support documentation and collaboration efforts using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Chalk

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or hybrid PO/BA role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and executives
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity in a fast-evolving environment
* Naturally curious mindset with a desire to understand the -why,- not just the -what-
* Advanced Excel skills for analysis, tracking, and reporting
* Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence without formal authority

Preferred Skills:
* Experience using Jira and Confluence in an Agile or hybrid environment
* Prior lead or mentorship experience
* Familiarity with ICOMS or similar enterprise systems
* Background supporting enterprise or large-scale organizational initiatives
* Experience working through mergers or major organizational change

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
