Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Java/Python development, and enterprise data platform engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable cloud-native applications, microservices, and data platform solutions supporting real-time and batch data processing.
This role requires hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, data pipelines, streaming technologies, infrastructure automation, and full-stack integration within a collaborative Agile engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and enterprise data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
Build cloud-native applications supporting real-time and batch data processing
Develop and implement service-oriented and microservices-based architectures
Design and develop RESTful APIs for seamless integration across enterprise systems
Utilize Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
Lead data ingestion and integration from multiple structured and unstructured data sources
Implement data governance, access controls, and cloud security best practices
Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data platform performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and cross-functional teams to establish engineering standards and frameworks
Automate deployment and infrastructure processes using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Support full-stack integration across front-end and back-end systems using technologies such as React and Node.js
Participate in testing, deployment, production releases, and SDLC best practices
Maintain technical documentation and support operational excellence initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of software development experience using Java or Python
3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Strong experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
3+ years of experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
2+ years of experience with data pipelines and streaming technologies such as Apache Beam and Kafka
Experience with full-stack development using React, Node.js, or similar technologies
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure deployments
Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and SDLC best practices
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of cloud networking and platform engineering concepts
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools in cloud environments
