Summary

Project Manager / IT Infrastructure / Hybrid / Atlanta, GA

Our client is a VAR, a Value Added Reseller, supporting their clients through hardware sales and strategic staffing solutions. Based out of Atlanta, GA, they are looking to hire a Project Manager on a Contract-to-Hire basis. You will be working remotely when not required onsite, roughly onsite 2-3 days per month.

The Project Manager 1 is responsible for the overall direction, planning, coordination, implementation, execution and management of one to many small to medium IT projects with pre-determined scope, schedule, and budgets. The Project Manager 1 may also provide coaching and mentoring to less experience Project Coordinators. It is expected that the majority of time (80%) will be in billable activities.

Contract Duration: 6+ Month Contract to Hire

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years' experience in Project Management within the IT industry
  • Strong VAR (value added reseller) experience
  • Proven experience in effective meeting facilitation
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, terms and practices used in the assessment and implementation of IT Infrastructure and Services.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • PMP certification is a plus

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of project(s) throughout the project lifecycle, initiation through closure
  • Oversee the review of project scope, goals, and deliverables both internally and externally
  • Manage project budget, resource allocation, project plan, project trackers and project timelines as required
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to project scope, tasks, deliverables, goals, resources, schedules and budgets
  • Communicate expectations to stakeholders and team, gaining acceptance and accomplishing customer business objectives
