Title: Compensation Consultant
Location: Lisle, IL
Duration: 6 Months

Only W2 candidates are eligible for this position. Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered

Description:

Onsite: Lisle (Monday-Thursday must be onsite, Friday remote unless there are critical meetings on that day)  8am - 5pm

  • Provide senior-level compensation consulting support with responsibility for complex compensation program administration, job architecture evaluation, salary structure support, market analysis, and review of compensation actions for alignment with established guidelines, policies, and practices.
  • This position will support high-impact projects involving incentive compensation, bonus programs, special studies, organizational structure changes, and other compensation initiatives that require strong judgment and advanced subject-matter expertise.
  • The contractor may also complete analyst-level work, including job audits, job description preparation, survey data analysis, and compensation data validation. Compensation work directly affects payroll costs, employee equity, legal compliance, and leadership decision-making; therefore, delayed or low-quality work could create financial exposure, employee relations issues, and compliance risk.
  • These roles are critical to maintaining continuity of compensation operations, ensuring pay decisions are consistent, defensible, and aligned to client’s compensation philosophy. The contractor must be able to work independently, resolve complex issues, and provide high-quality recommendations with limited oversight.
  • Candidates should have previous experience in compensation - specifically in job architecture and grading, sales incentive plan design and execution, salary market benchmarking, and/or pay equity.
  • Additional desired skills include strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communications skills, strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities, ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
