RSUM DU POSTE: Le/La spcialiste en travail des mtaux collaborera avec l'quipe commerciale de MSC, les clients et les fournisseurs afin d'appliquer ses connaissances en travail des mtaux et du secteur pour formuler des recommandations visant amliorer les processus et rduire les cots pour les clients. Il/Elle coordonnera et utilisera galement les ressources des fournisseurs pour atteindre les objectifs fixs

TCHES ET RESPONSABILITS :

  • Sous la supervision du responsable des spcialistes en travail des mtaux et en toute autonomie, appliquer les outils aux segments de clientle assigns, en particulier les clients du secteur manufacturier, afin d'amliorer les processus et de raliser des conomies documentes.
  • Dvelopper des relations et un partenariat avec nos principaux fournisseurs pour stimuler la croissance du travail des mtaux et le soutien la clientle.
  • Acclrer la croissance des ventes et fournir un soutien technique en travail des mtaux auprs des comptes cibles et dans la zone gographique identifie.
  • Soutenir les opportunits de solutions chez les clients appropris afin de contribuer la croissance du travail des mtaux et l'atteinte des objectifs de rduction des cots.
  • Sous la supervision d'un spcialiste ou d'un responsable du travail des mtaux et en toute autonomie, fournir un soutien technique notre quipe commerciale MSC pour les opportunits d'application en travail des mtaux, coordonner le soutien des fournisseurs locaux pour les essais d'outils et fournir un soutien technique et de marque exclusif local.
  • Participer un programme de formation continue mis en place par l'quipe de prparation des ventes, l'quipe de dveloppement et l'quipe de direction du travail des mtaux. Les activits de formation comprennent, sans s'y limiter :
  • Russite du programme Tooling U jusqu'au niveau 2 de Sales Master (niveau 3 requis pour le statut de Senior)
  • Suivi de toutes les formations dispenses par les fournisseurs stratgiques dans un dlai de 24 mois
  • Formation approfondie sur l'utilisation des outils de documentation des conomies de cots (optimisation des applications)
  • Formation l'analyse des besoins clients
  • Contribuer l'identification et l'acquisition de nouveaux clients travail des mtaux
  • Soutenir les opportunits de vente directe travail des mtaux auprs des clients afin de favoriser la croissance et d'atteindre les objectifs de rduction des cots
  • Utiliser les outils commerciaux disponibles pour grer les conomies ralises par les clients et atteindre tous les objectifs SMART
  • Apporter un soutien technique l'quipe commerciale MSC concernant les applications de travail des mtaux
  • Promouvoir la culture MSC au sein du dpartement et de l'entreprise afin de garantir la ralisation de la vision et la cohrence des objectifs de MSC
  • Participation des projets spciaux et excution de tches supplmentaires selon les besoins.

FORMATION ET EXPRIENCE:
  • Minimum de 2 ans d'exprience en usinage, notamment en applications de travail des mtaux, et/ou une matrise avre de ces applications. Exprience en matire d'amlioration de la productivit ou de rduction des cots d'usinage.
  • Une exprience de vente auprs d'un distributeur ou d'un fabricant d'outillage pour le travail des mtaux est un atout.
  • Connaissance de base d'une large gamme d'applications de travail des mtaux requise.
  • Diplme d'tudes secondaires ou quivalent requis.

COMPTENCES :
  • Solides comptences analytiques et mathmatiques requises.
  • Matrise de Microsoft Word, Excel et PowerPoint, exprience de Salesforce.com.
  • Solide exprience et succs avr dans la vente de solutions ou de services rentables.
  • Excellentes aptitudes la communication, avec la capacit de travailler en quipe pluridisciplinaire et d'interagir avec tous les niveaux de clients au sein des sites de production.
  • Capacit formuler des recommandations de solutions bases sur les informations recueillies et analyses partir des systmes.
  • Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles et de communication (orales et crites), ainsi qu'un grand souci du dtail et un suivi rigoureux.

  • Un permis de conduire valide et la capacit de se rendre aux tats-Unis, ainsi que d'effectuer des dplacements hors province ou interprovinciaux (dplacements avec nuites estims 20 %).

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Metalworking Specialist will collaborate with the MSC Sales team, customers and suppliers in the application of metalworking (MW) and industry knowledge to provide recommendations for customer process and cost improvements. This position will also coordinate and utilize supplier resources to achieve targeted goals.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under the guidance of the Metalworking Specialist Manager as well as independently, apply tools to assigned customer segments, with an emphasis on manufacturing customers, to deliver process improvements and documented cost savings.
  • Develop relationships and partner with our key suppliers to drive metalworking growth and customer support.
  • Drive accelerated MW sales growth and technical MW support within identified MW target accounts and geographical area.
  • Support solutions opportunities at appropriate customers to help achieve MW growth and attain cost savings goals.
  • Under the guidance of a Metalworking Specialist or Manager as well as independently, provide technical support to our MSC Sales team for metalworking application opportunities, coordinate local supplier support for tool testing and provide local exclusive brand technical and brand support.
  • Participate in an ongoing training program established by Sales Readiness, Development Team, and MW Management Team. Training activities to include, but are not limited to:
  • o Successful completion of Tooling U through Sales Master Level 2 (Level 3 to be eligible for Sr status)
  • All Strategic Supplier provided training courses within 24 months
  • Detailed training on use of cost savings documentation tools (Application Optimization).
  • Customer Needs Analysis training
  • Assist in the identification and acquisition of new MW customers
  • Support MW vending customer opportunities to help achieve incremental growth and attain cost savings goals
  • Utilize available business tools to maintain and manage customer savings and all SMART goals
  • Provide technical support to our MSC sales team for metalworking application opportunities
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years machining applications, experience and/or demonstrated proficiency in MW applications, experience with machining productivity improvement or cost savings initiatives.
  • Field sales experience with distributor or metalworking tooling manufacturer is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of a broad range of metalworking applications required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

SKILLS:
  • Strong analytical & math skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce.com experience.
  • Strong background and demonstrated success in selling profitable solutions or service.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of customers within manufacturing facilities required.
  • Ability to make recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written) along with strong attention to detail and follow through required.
  • Strong ability to be flexible and adapt to change in business practices, market changes, etc.
  • Self-motivated to meet specific sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to learn manufacturing concepts and processes.
  • Demonstration of competitive spirit and ability to overcome obstacles to success.
  • Excellent ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and effectively.
  • Competent presentation skills required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to the United States of America as well as out of province / cross province travel, estimated 20% overnight travel

Compensation starting at $74,970 - $117,810 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
