Job Description

ECS is seeking a Lead Field Services Technician to work in our Gulfport, MS office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding.

Candidate must have experience diagnosing and repairing Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) (Surface and Underwater Crafts). This includes oversight of maintenance and systems integration.

Required Skills

  • Conducts system-level diagnostics and failure analysis for Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs), including propulsion, autonomy, navigation, communications, and mission payload subsystems.
  • Leads system integration, testing, and test & evaluation (T&E) activities for USVs during pier-side, nearshore, and underway operations to verify performance, reliability, and mission readiness.
  • Provides oversight of sensor calibration, system verification, and technical compliance to ensure USV platforms and payloads meet manufacturer specifications and operational requirements.
  • Manages configuration control, sustainment strategies, and technical documentation, maintaining consistent system baselines across USV operations, upgrades, and maintenance cycles.
  • Advises operators, and leadership on USV readiness, operational risk, failure trends, and modernization paths to support safe and effective mission execution.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance processes, and technician training materials supporting scalable and repeatable USV operations.


Desired Skills

  • Experience with Avionics, USV ( Uncrewed Surface Vehicles) maintenance, system integration, and testing.
