- Work with a managing partner and handle claims from intake through resolution, including conducting the early stages of litigation such as drafting of complaint and initial discovery, on select matters.
- Responsible for expert retention, Medical coordination, investigation, evidence preservation, and client communications.
- Draft, edit, review and finalize demands; draft mediation briefs; and conduct mediations.
- Responsible for claim negotiation and settlement.
- Work with post-lit to finalize claims and oversee effective transfer of matters from pre-lit to litigation
- Draft complaints and prepare and respond to initial discovery.
Job DetailsQualifications
- Experience with intake, client communications, medical coordination, liability investigation, expert retention, demand letter drafting, claim negotiation, and medical lien reduction.
- Understanding of medicine including complex injuries and causation.
- Experience mediating matters and preparing mediation briefs.
- Strong legal research, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with Clio and tracking time is a plus.
