Mandatory Requirement

  • Must have Oracle Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) implementation experience.
  • Strong hands-on Oracle Retail architecture and solution design background.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle MFCS Technical Architect to lead architecture, integration design, technical governance, and solution delivery across a complex retail ecosystem. The ideal candidate will define scalable, secure, and high-performing Oracle Retail solutions that support merchandising operations and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end technical architecture for Oracle MFCS and related Oracle Retail modules:
    • RDS
    • SACS
    • ORPCS
    • ORIMCS
  • Lead enterprise integration architecture and implementation using middleware platforms.
  • Design and develop MFCS extensions, custom validations, and performance-optimized PL/SQL solutions.
  • Define data migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and cutover strategies.
  • Establish architecture standards, cloud best practices, security controls, and performance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Create architecture blueprints, technical design documents, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to architecture standards.

Required Skills

Oracle Retail & MFCS

  • 10+ years of Oracle Retail experience with strong expertise in:
    • Oracle MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service)
    • RMS (Retail Merchandising System)
  • Proven MFCS implementation experience.

Retail Functional Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • Foundation Data Management
  • Item Induction
  • Purchasing
  • Costing
  • Inventory Management

Integration & Architecture

  • Extensive experience integrating Oracle Retail applications with:
    • ERP Systems
    • POS Systems
    • WMS Platforms
    • E-Commerce Applications
    • Finance Systems
  • Strong API design and enterprise integration experience.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Data migration and reconciliation expertise.
  • Architecture design and technical governance experience.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Kafka / Event Hub
  • Spring Boot
  • Cloud-native architecture experience

Domain Experience

  • Retail industry experience is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience in:
    • Specialty Retail
    • Beauty Retail
    • Grocery Retail
    • Apparel Retail

Leadership & Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to identify project risks proactively and drive resolution.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities across onsite and offshore teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience reviewing technical deliverables and architecture artifacts.
  • Ability to guide development teams through design and implementation phases.

Preferred

  • Experience serving as an onsite lead/technical architect on large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Experience driving architecture governance and best practices across distributed teams.
