Summary

  1. Technical Skills: 
  1. Designs and configures Workday Financials modules including Core Financials, Accounting Center, Expenses, Projects, Payroll and Grants Management. 
  1. Provides Workday Payroll support through accurate configuration, compliant processing, integrated reconciliations, and secure governance. 
  1. Oversees complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and middleware platforms. 
  1. Leads performance tuning, system audits, data quality governance, and compliance activities within Workday Financials. 
  1. Develops advanced security frameworks, role-based access models, and audit controls. 
  1. Defines enterprise reporting standards leveraging Workday Reporting and Prism Analytics. 
  1. Manages technical aspects of Workday Financials system upgrades, including configuration updates, regression testing, and validation of new features. 
  1. Ensures technical readiness for Workday release cycles and coordinates upgrade-related tasks with IT and Finance teams. 
  1. Communication and Influencing skills: 
  1. Adheres to detailed work plans and timelines for Workday projects. 
  1. Identifies resources needed to complete assigned tasks and provides timely status reports. 
  1. Drives consensus among Finance, Payroll, and IT stakeholders on Workday technical solutions. 
  1. Facilitates leadership briefings to present technical strategy, project milestones, and ROI analyses. 
  1. Authors strategic documentation and governance standards for Workday Financials. 
  1. Customer Relationship Skills: 
  1. Develops strong relationships with Finance end-user communities and external Workday partners. 
  1. Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills. 
  1. Ability to articulate Workday Financials concepts clearly and concisely. 
  1. Champions user adoption and optimization initiatives for Workday Financials. 
  1. Cross-Functional Integration and Reporting: 
  1. Coordinates design, build, and testing of Workday Financials integrations. 
  1. Develops and documents data transformation rules and reconciliation procedures. 
  1. Leads efforts to standardize and streamline reporting across Finance and Operations using Workday tools. 
  1. Collaborates with enterprise architecture teams to ensure Workday interoperability and scalability. 
  1. Coordinates integration testing and validation during Workday upgrade cycles to ensure seamless functionality across systems. 
  1. Partners with cross-functional teams assess impact of new Workday features on existing integrations and reporting frameworks. 

 

  1. Key Responsibilities: 
  1. Provides strategic mentorship to Workday Financials analysts and administrators. 
  1. Develops technical standards and best practices for Workday Financials configurations and integrations. 
  1. Serves as IT Workday Financials lead for Finance and Payroll executive stakeholders during Workday Financials redesigns and major initiatives. 
  1. Plans and executes Workday Financials system upgrades, including feature adoption, regression testing, and impact analysis. 
  1. Coordinates upgrade cycles with Workday release schedules, ensuring compliance with organizational change management processes. 
  1. Leads validation of new functionality, security updates, and reporting enhancements introduced in Workday releases. 
  1. Leads scoping, planning, and execution of enterprise Workday Financials programs. 
  1. Authors executive-level project proposals, charters, and risk assessments. 

 

   Notes from Hiring Manager:

    MUST HAVE: Workday FIN Certification.

    PREFFERED: Workday HCM Certification

    MUST HAVE: Experience working in a healthcare system

    This is a LEAD Techno-functional role (current lead retired)

    This person will own Payroll to GL

    INTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 Steps (First with Manager of Business Applications; Second with            Director/Team)

    Preference is contract-to-hire but will accept candidates only looking for perm roles

   There will be occasional onsite in Boston
