Job Title: IT Infrastructure Capacity Management Service Owner
Location: Remote
Duration: Six-Month Contract with Potential Extension
Important: This is primarily a Service Ownership, Product Management, and Governance role, not a hands-on infrastructure engineering position.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Capacity Management Service Owner to lead enterprise infrastructure capacity planning, service governance, and continuous improvement. The role focuses on managing infrastructure capacity across data centers, compute, storage, networks, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong infrastructure knowledge, service ownership, product management, forecasting, and stakeholder management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end Infrastructure Capacity Management service, strategy, roadmap, governance, and KPIs.
- Drive infrastructure capacity planning, demand forecasting, utilization analysis, and risk management.
- Monitor compute, storage, network, virtualization, data center, and cloud infrastructure capacity.
- Develop capacity dashboards, reports, and metrics to support business and technology decisions.
- Identify capacity constraints, optimization opportunities, and future infrastructure requirements.
- Act as Service Owner/Product Owner, managing requirements, backlogs, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Finance, vendors, and business teams.
- Present capacity insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Min Ten + years of experience in Infrastructure Service Management, Capacity Management, Infrastructure Operations, or Technical Product/Program Management.
- Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, virtualization, data center, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure capacity planning, demand forecasting, utilization analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in IT Service Ownership, governance, roadmap development, and stakeholder management.
- Strong requirements gathering, analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- ITIL Capacity and Performance Management knowledge or certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, VMware, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Product Ownership, FinOps, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
