We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to lead a multi-line plastics extrusion manufacturing facility. This leader will be responsible for full site performance, including safety, production, quality, delivery, cost, and culture. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of turning around underperforming operations, building strong teams, and driving sustainable improvements. Experience in thick-gauge extrusion is a significant advantage.

Job Details

Provide overall leadership and direction for daily plant operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
Lead plant turnaround initiatives, identifying gaps and executing action plans to improve performance across all KPIs
Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing leadership team and workforce
Establish a positive, accountable, and engaged culture focused on teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
Oversee production planning, scheduling, and workflow to meet customer demand and on-time delivery goals
Improve operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Manage plant financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and productivity improvements
Ensure consistent product quality and drive corrective actions when necessary
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and supply chain to support business growth
Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements
Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including OEE, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
Proven success in plant turnaround situations-stabilizing operations, improving performance, and rebuilding teams
Strong background in plastics manufacturing; thick gauge extrusion experience highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a positive, high-performance culture
Experience managing multiple extrusion lines and complex production environments
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities
Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead change, influence teams, and drive accountability at all levels
