Position Overview The company is seeking a Windows System Engineer with a strong background in Windows application packaging, testing, deployment, and endpoint management. This role is focused on the complete software packaging lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and troubleshooting, within a large enterprise Windows environment.
This is not a traditional Windows infrastructure or server administration role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience packaging and deploying enterprise applications using Microsoft Intune and related endpoint management technologies.
Key Responsibilities - Package and repackage Windows applications for enterprise deployment.
- Create software deployment packages using Flexera AdminStudio and related tools.
- Test and validate application packages prior to production deployment.
- Deploy applications to enterprise Windows devices through Microsoft Intune.
- Troubleshoot application installation, configuration, and deployment issues.
- Partner with application owners and SMEs to gather technical requirements.
- Review application intake documentation and identify missing dependencies or requirements.
- Resolve packaging, testing, and deployment-related issues.
- Maintain documentation and follow established packaging standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful software delivery.
Required Qualifications - Hands-on experience with Windows application packaging and repackaging.
- Experience creating, testing, and deploying software packages in enterprise environments.
- Strong Microsoft Intune experience, particularly with application deployment.
- Knowledge of Windows endpoint management and administration.
- Experience troubleshooting application installation and deployment issues.
- Ability to gather requirements directly from application owners and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications - Flexera AdminStudio experience.
- Microsoft Entra ID knowledge.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- MSI and MSIX packaging expertise.
- SCCM/MECM administration and software deployment experience.
- Experience with enterprise application packaging and deployment tools.
