Role Summary
We are seeking a senior business banking professional with deep domain expertise and hands-on experience guiding financial institutions through platform strategy and execution. This role will serve as a strategic advisor and execution leader, responsible for defining the overall approach, key decision points, and operating model for business banking capabilities, with a strong focus on Keystone and Candescent platforms.
The ideal candidate combines business banking acumen, platform knowledge, and change leadership, and can translate strategy into practical recommendations across staffing models, adoption planning, and pricing structures.
Key Responsibilities
Business Banking Strategy & Approach
- Define end-to-end business banking platform strategy, aligning technology capabilities with growth, profitability, and client experience goals.
- Recommend strategic approaches for platform selection, configuration, and rollout based on bank size, segment focus, and maturity.
- Identify and articulate key decision points for executives (build vs. buy, phased vs. big-bang adoption, feature prioritization, operating model trade-offs).
Keystone & Candescent Advisory
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Keystone and Candescent capabilities, limitations, and best-fit use cases.
- Advise on implementation sequencing, integration considerations, and dependencies across digital banking, treasury, lending, and onboarding.
- Translate platform functionality into business outcomes (revenue growth, operational efficiency, client acquisition/retention).
Operating Model, Staffing & Adoption
- Define staffing models required to support implementation and steady-state operations (product, operations, technology, sales, support).
- Assess skill gaps, recommend training, and change management plans to drive internal adoption.
- Develop adoption strategies for frontline teams and clients, including incentives, enablement, and success metrics.
Pricing & Commercial Models
- Design and evaluate pricing structures enabled by Keystone and Candescent (bundled vs. modular, relationship-based pricing, usage-based fees).
- Partner with finance and product teams to ensure pricing aligns with cost-to-serve, margin targets, and competitive positioning.
- Support business cases and ROI analyses for platform investments.
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
- Present clear, concise recommendations to senior leadership, translating complexity into actionable decisions.
- Act as a bridge between business, technology, operations, and vendors to ensure alignment and execution.
- Support vendor management, including contract considerations and roadmap alignment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business banking, commercial banking, or treasury services.
- Demonstrated experience advising on or implementing Keystone and/or Candescent platforms.
- Strong understanding of business banking products, operating models, and client segments.
- Proven ability to define strategy, decision frameworks, and execution roadmaps.
- Experience with staffing models, adoption/change management, and pricing strategy.
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consulting, transformation, or platform advisory roles.
- Direct involvement in digital banking or core-adjacent platform implementations.
- Familiarity with regulatory, risk, and compliance considerations in business banking.
