Job Role: Solution Architect (backend architecture , System Design)

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee database architecture, governance, and performance across our environments (including Redshift and other core databases)
Define and standardize incentive models, performance metrics, and advanced analytics frameworks across sales channels
Design scalable backend data architecture, data models, and integration patterns to replace and enhance current Alteryx-based workflows
Lead database restructuring, modernization, and optimization efforts to improve scalability, performance, and data integrity
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
Establish governance, data quality standards, and best practices for incentive data and broader database systems
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the incentives team while working in an AI-augmented environment (including tools like Kiro)
Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in data/platform architecture, with a focus on building analytics platforms or incentive/commission systems
Strong expertise in system design, data modeling, and backend architecture for web applications
Expert-level SQL and experience with modern data stack (Python, cloud databases, ETL/ELT patterns)
Proven experience with AWS cloud services, particularly S3 and Redshift
Demonstrated success leading database oversight, redesign, modernization, or large-scale data platform migrations
Experience designing or building web-based analytics portals or similar business applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to balance technical excellence and business impact
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Alteryx or similar data analytics platforms
Background in telecommunications, sales incentives, commission modeling, or performance analytics
Exposure to AI/ML tools or automation strategies in data and incentive workflows (e.g., Kiro or similar)
Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
