Senior Business Analyst (Power BI / Data Analytics)
Overview
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support analytics and product initiatives within a data-driven environment. This role will work closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define requirements, build analytics solutions, and help deliver insights-driven products.
The role sits at the intersection of product management, analytics, and engineering, helping translate business needs into data solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst supporting data or analytics initiatives
- Strong experience working with Power BI or enterprise BI platforms
- Experience working with Agile development teams
- Strong stakeholder communication and requirements gathering skills
- Experience working with engineering teams building data products
- Experience with SQL or Python
- Experience working with Databricks or Snowflake
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
- Experience working with Jira or similar Agile tracking tools
- Exposure to data modeling or analytics architecture
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product Owners and engineering teams to define analytics requirements and product features.
- Translate business needs into user stories, functional requirements, and analytics specifications.
- Work with engineering teams to support development of data dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics platforms.
- Support the design of analytics solutions using Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
- Assist in building early prototypes of dashboards or analytics tools using AI-assisted development tools before handing off to engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate analytics solutions.
- Support data-driven decision making through insights and reporting capabilities.
- Document requirements, workflows, and analytics processes.
