Salesforce Data Cloud Architect

We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud Architect with a strong foundation in data engineering to help scale and optimize a multi-cloud Salesforce ecosystem. This role blends architecture, engineering, and marketing technology to drive advanced segmentation and activation use cases.

You will play a key role in designing and building solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud, integrating external data sources like Snowflake, and enabling marketing teams to deliver impactful, data-driven campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Data Cloud Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement solutions within Salesforce Data Cloud including:
  • Data Streams
  • Data Model Objects (DMOs)
  • Identity Resolution
  • Calculated Insights
  • Segmentation & Activation
• Ingest and map data from:
  • Snowflake
  • Salesforce orgs
  • Drupal (via Interactions SDK)
  • Additional external systems
• Align and transform external datasets to fit Salesforce’s standard data model.

 Data Engineering & Integration

• Work closely with data engineering teams to:
  • Assess data readiness for marketing use cases
  • Optimize schemas and pipelines in Snowflake
  • Support ingestion and transformation logic
• Use SQL for:
  • Data validation and analysis
  • Troubleshooting ingestion and segmentation issues

Marketing Enablement & Segmentation

• Partner with Marketing Operations to:
  • Build scalable audience segmentation strategies
  • Enable activation into Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Provide best practices for:
  • Audience creation
  • Campaign activation
  • Segment optimization
• Train and enable business teams for long-term self-sufficiency.

 Cross-Cloud Salesforce Integration

• Orchestrate data flows across:
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Salesforce Experience Cloud
• Translate business needs into scalable, cross-cloud data solutions.

 DevOps & Deployment

• Support deployment and release processes using:
  • Gearset
  • Workbench
• Manage:
  • Sandbox-to-sandbox and sandbox-to-production deployments
  • Data Cloud artifact migration (Data Kits)
  • Governance and deployment best practices

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on implementation experience with Salesforce Data Cloud
• Strong data engineering background, including:
  • Snowflake
  • SQL (advanced proficiency)
  • Data modeling and pipeline design
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external data platforms
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem:
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Data Cloud DevOps and deployment strategies
• Knowledge of credit consumption optimization in Data Cloud
• Experience with Interactions SDK (web tracking)
• Exposure to Agentforce (nice-to-have)
• Background supporting Marketing Operations teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
