Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce healthcare client in Costa Mesa, CA is currently looking for a Senior SQL Developer for a full-time direct hire opportunity that is hybrid. Must work with PST hours.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer with strong SQL development, data modeling, and Python scripting expertise within the healthcare industry. This role will focus on analyzing and modeling clinical and claims data, developing scalable reporting solutions, and creating actionable insights through data visualization.

Responsibilities include:
* Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
* Analyze healthcare data, including claims and electronic medical records (EMR)
* Design and build dashboards and reports using Power BI and other reporting tools
* Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
* Create scalable, reusable, and high-performing reporting and analytics solutions
* Support data analysis related to outcomes, utilization, reimbursement, and operational performance
* Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and regulatory standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
* 6+ years of SQL development and data analysis experience
* 6+ years of experience supporting Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) initiatives
* Python scripting experience for data analysis and automation
* Experience building reports and dashboards with Power BI
* Experience working with Azure SQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar database platforms
* Strong understanding of CCLF claims data and EMR data structures
* Strong understanding of healthcare data, regulations, and compliance requirements
* Advanced SQL development and data modeling skills
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Must be local to Costa Mesa, CA and able to work onsite 1-2 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CMS and Value-Based Care programs
* Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub
* Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and cloud-based data platforms
* Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR
* Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or LLM-based healthcare solutions
* Exposure to Agile development methodologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
