Description

A leading systems integrator is seeking an experienced and highly capable Logistics Principal to support a large-scale digital infrastructure network design and deployment program for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The network spans Unclassified through TS/SCI environments and integrates advanced commercial and government technologies including cloud computing, SD-WAN, enterprise cross-domain solutions, data distribution networks, scalable transport, and data link integration modules across globally distributed operational sites.

As the Logistics Principal, you will serve as the senior logistics authority, architecting and executing the end-to-end integrated logistics strategy that ensures equipment, software, and services are procured, tracked, delivered, sustained, and fully accountable across both fixed and deployed environments. This role is mission-critical to the operational availability and success of the network.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) aligned with major and minor release schedules, quarterly release planning events, and government-directed work package timelines.
  • Lead the identification, sourcing, and procurement of hardware, software, and services supporting cloud infrastructure, SD-WAN, enterprise cross-domain solutions, data distribution networks, scalable transport, and data link integration modules across all operational sites.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, design, and program management teams to develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs) aligned with approved design baselines.
  • Establish and manage end-to-end supply chain workflows, coordinating with vendors, OEMs, government stakeholders, and internal teams to meet deployment milestones.
  • Develop and manage program logistics budgets, ensuring compliance with DoD acquisition regulations and FAR/DFARS requirements while optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including vendor delays, parts obsolescence, single-source dependencies, and logistics bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with DoD inventory management systems and logistics stakeholders to ensure compliance with property accountability and asset visibility requirements.
  • Manage warehouse operations, equipment accountability, freight transportation, and Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes across CONUS and OCONUS sites.
  • Conduct and support scheduled inventories to ensure readiness and accurate asset tracking.
  • Develop and maintain transport and deployment kit options, including cost, lead time, and logistics metrics to support planning decisions.
  • Prepare logistics documentation and evidence packages to support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and program milestone reviews.
  • Apply logistics best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to improve delivery performance and reduce costs.
  • Mentor junior logistics personnel and establish program-wide logistics standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 10+ years of related experience
  • OR
  • Master's degree with 8+ years of related experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a senior logistics or supply chain leadership role supporting large-scale defense systems integration or acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government programs with compliance to DoD acquisition regulations and FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Expertise managing end-to-end supply chain operations in a defense or high-security environment.
  • Experience developing and managing BOMs and SBOMs for complex infrastructure programs.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills across engineering teams, vendors, and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of logistics plans, status reports, and executive briefings.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Desired Skills

  • Experience with DoD logistics systems (e.g., MAXIMO, GCSS-Army, DPAS)
  • Familiarity with DFARS 252.245 and DoD property management regulations
  • Experience developing ILSPs, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), and logistics support analyses
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure logistics, including telecommunications hardware, SD-WAN appliances, and software licensing lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting Configuration Management processes and CCBs
