Senior .NET Backend Software Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior .NET Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building backend solutions using C#, .NET/.NET Core, cloud platforms, and modern API architectures. This role requires strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud technologies, database design, system integrations, application security, and CI/CD practices within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications utilizing C# and .NET/.NET Core technologies.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Develop scalable cloud-native and serverless solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Design and implement integrations with internal and external enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Ensure application security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support for deployed applications.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
• Document system designs, development standards, and deployment procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  C#
  .NET
  ASP.NET Core
• Experience building and supporting REST APIs and distributed backend systems.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms:
  Microsoft Azure
  Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience developing cloud-native and serverless applications.
• Strong database development experience with:
  SQL databases
  NoSQL databases
• Experience designing and implementing system integrations.
• Strong understanding of application security principles and secure coding practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Must be local to the New York metropolitan area and available for onsite work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical applications.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
