Location: Chicago, IL // Fort Lauderdale, FL – Remote (If needed, Travel to client site twice a month at own expense)

Client Expectations

·   Proven experience leading large QE teams (80+ members) across onsite/offshore models.

·   Hands-on expertise in QE-to-QE transformation initiatives.

·   Proficiency with any ALM tool.

·   Strong automation background with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, or similar.

 

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced and strategic QE TCOE (Quality Engineering – Testing Center of 

Excellence) Lead to drive enterprise-wide quality engineering initiatives and transformation 

programs. The ideal candidate will lead QE governance, automation strategy, testing best 

practices, delivery excellence, and stakeholder management across multiple lines of business. 

This role requires strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in quality engineering 

methodologies, and hands-on experience managing large-scale testing programs in enterprise 

environments. 

Key Responsibilities 

•Lead and manage the QE TCOE function across multiple programs and business units. 

•Define and implement enterprise-wide QA/QE strategy, standards, governance, and best 

practices. 

•Drive QA transformation initiatives, including automation, CI/CD integration, shift-left 

testing, and quality metrics. 

•Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, governance reports, and testing maturity 

models. 

•Collaborate with business stakeholders, program managers, development teams, and 

leadership for successful delivery execution. 

•Lead test planning, estimation, resource allocation, risk management, and execution 

oversight. 

•Ensure quality processes align with Agile, DevOps, and enterprise delivery 

methodologies. 

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives for test automation, performance testing, API 

testing, and data validation. 

•Manage offshore/onshore QE teams and provide technical and strategic guidance. 

•Support client discussions, audits, governance reviews, and executive reporting. 

•Identify delivery risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies. 

Required Skills & Experience 

•12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing. 

•10+ years of experience leading QE TCOE or enterprise testing programs. 

•Strong experience in QA governance, testing transformation, and delivery management. 

•Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, 

Cypress, Tosca, or similar. 

•Experience with API testing, performance testing, and data validation/testing. 

•Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. 

•Experience managing distributed onsite/offshore delivery models. 

•Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills. 

•Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. 

Preferred Qualifications 

•Experience in insurance, healthcare, banking, or enterprise digital transformation 

programs. 

•Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. 

•Experience with enterprise reporting and dashboarding tools. 

•Relevant certifications in QA, Agile, or cloud technologies are preferred.
