Arcosa Marine Products is seeking an
IT Director to join our team. This position will be based in our
Ashland City, TN barge plant and will service all AMP sites.
Position Summary:The Director of Information Technology is responsible for building, leading, and scaling the company's IT function from the ground up. This role will establish the technology infrastructure, security posture, systems, and processes needed to support rapid growth, operational efficiency, and business continuity. The IT Director will act as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator-designing IT strategy while also directly managing systems, vendors, and day-to-day technology operations.
Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute the company's IT strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
- Build the IT roadmap including infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and support services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments and risks.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Infrastructure & Systems- Design, implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure (networks, cloud platforms, devices, SaaS tools).
- Lead selection, implementation, and optimization of business systems (HRIS, ERP, CRM, collaboration tools, etc.).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all systems.
Cybersecurity & Risk- Establish cybersecurity standards and data protection protocols.
- Manage access controls, endpoint security, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (SOC, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. as applicable).
- Lead incident response and business continuity planning.
Operations & Support- Provide day-to-day IT support for employees (directly or through vendors).
- Build service desk processes and SLAs as the company scales.
- Manage device lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, asset tracking).
Vendor & Budget Management- Select and manage external vendors, MSPs, and SaaS providers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage IT budgets.
- Track ROI on technology investments.
Team Building (as company grows)- Hire and lead internal IT team members.
- Define roles, career paths, and training plans.
- Foster a culture of service, security, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience building IT functions in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- SaaS ecosystems (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
- Network and endpoint management
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience implementing ERP/HRIS/CRM platforms.
- ITIL or cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.).
- Experience managing remote and hybrid workforces.
