Title: Production Support Analyst / SRE
Location: South Jordan, UT (Hybrid)

Position Summary:
The Production Support Analyst / (SRE) role is a hybrid position based in South Jordan, UT focused on maintaining the stability and performance of critical production systems. It combines hands-on production support with reliability engineering, requiring the candidate to manage live incidents while contributing to automation and system improvements.
The role involves close collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, and ensure smooth system operations. Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments, OS-level debugging, and production support is essential, along with experience in scripting (Python) to automate repetitive tasks. Familiarity with ITIL principles, ticketing systems like ServiceNow, and effective communication skills are critical for success.
Day-to-day responsibilities are primarily focused on L2/L3 production support, including monitoring systems, handling alerts, debugging failures, and resolving outages for internal trading applications. The role also emphasizes proactive reliability improvements through automation, requiring a balance of operational support and continuous enhancement in a fast-paced, on-call-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
D2D:
- This role is 80% Production Support (L2/L3) via ServiceNow & SRE/Automation/Reliability Improvement
- This person lives in Linux + Production Environments handling incidents, outages and Debugging + Also does all they can to automate certain process to prevent future issues.
- Team: manages an internal trading application. So all candidates should understand how service mgmt. works, what is incident mgmt., should be able to handle any production outages, should be able to take care of user requests, and should have a good understanding of job schedule + Database Exp (DB2, Sybase)
- Monitor Systems (Alerts and Dashboards)
- Troubleshoot Incidents
Debug:
-Logs, Performance Issues, Failures, etc
Must have skills:
- Linux and Unix Hands on Experience!
- Needs to be comfortable troubleshooting at OS Level
- Production Support Exp
- Incident Handling, Debugging live systems and on-call experience
- Scripting/Automation experience within Python
- Not a Software Engineer but most be able to automate repetitive tasks
- Comm skills MUST BE THERE!
- Will be working hands on with Dev Teams and the business
- Service now Experience from a ticketing perspective
- Knowledge of ITIL Principles
Plus:
- Good understanding of Java, GO, C++, Scala etc
- Grafana and snowflake
- Any Cloud Exp
- Agentic AI background or knowledge
