Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects at different stages from concept to completion.
2. Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and technical indicators to calculate total project cost.
3. Using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation.
4. Collaborating with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to gather all necessary data for estimates.
5. Preparing and presenting budget proposals to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
6. Participating in bid proposals, including preparing bid packages and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
7. Keeping track of the latest industry trends, pricing, and new materials to ensure the most accurate and competitive estimates.
8. Working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that cost considerations are integrated into project planning and design decisions.
9. Reviewing project progress and updating estimates as necessary.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Estimator role should have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation in the engineering or construction industry.
3. Proficiency in BIM and other estimation software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to accurately analyze complex data and create cost-effective solutions.
6. Strong negotiation skills with an ability to secure the best prices and terms on contracts.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to clearly present complex financial information to a range of audiences.
8. Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
10. Professional certification in cost estimation or project management will be an added advantage.
