Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage enterprise-wide business and IT release readiness processes for a large-scale system. This role involves coordinating across multiple agencies and vendors to ensure smooth planning, testing, and deployment of application releases in a complex production environment. The job is open to candidates within the 100 miles radius of Providence, Rhode Island.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage end-to-end release readiness processes across business and IT teams
Monitor vendor delivery schedules and identify risks with mitigation plans
Ensure release planning tracks all hardware, software, and application changes
Manage release scope changes through formal change control processes
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) progress and support UAT activities
Coordinate release planning, deployment timelines, and execution activities
Lead release governance including go/no-go decision meetings
Ensure operational readiness including training, documentation, and process updates
Oversee post-release validation, hyper-care, and closure activities
Collaborate with stakeholders on operational readiness and release communications
Participate in governance meetings to track and escalate release issues
Report release status, risks, and decisions to executive leadership
Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production issues
Act as approval authority for deployments, updates, and data fixes
