Onsite in Columbus. 9-6 (flexible within standard business hours)

The potential 5% travel would be to Naperville
Key Responsibilities
Lead a small validation team (2–3 engineers), including task planning, assignment, and performance oversight
Provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with project goals
Support OEM partners in integrating digital solutions from development through release
Own end-to-end test execution: planning, execution, and documentation in PLM systems using Agile practices
Drive test quality and coverage across projects
Design and enhance OTA and data validation test strategies
Collaborate with project managers on timelines, risks, and progress tracking
Develop reusable test artifacts and coverage metrics
Build automation tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage
Establish testing standards, documentation practices, and reporting mechanisms
Core Skills
Lead a small team (2–3 engineers)
Perform OTA (Over-the-Air) software update testing
Work with vehicle systems (ECU, CAN communication)
Use tools like CANalyzer / PCAN for data analysis
Create test cases, execute tests, and report results
Basic understanding of AWS/Azure backend systems
Coordinate with OEM partners
Improve testing processes and develop automation scripts
Required Qualifications
OTA Testing (Advanced): Design validation scenarios, handle edge cases, ensure update reliability
Protocols – CAN / J1939 / UDS (Intermediate): Analyze communication and troubleshoot issues
Automation (Intermediate): Develop scripts/tools for efficiency and coverage
Embedded Validation (Advanced): End-to-end testing, debugging, and quality ownership
CANalyzer / PCAN (Intermediate): Simulation, scripting, and test support
Backend Systems – Azure/AWS (Basic): Support integration testing
Test Strategy & Coverage (Advanced): Define scope, improve coverage, deliver metrics
Team Leadership (Basic): Lead and mentor small teams
OEM Collaboration (Intermediate): Communicate and support integration
Documentation (Intermediate): Clear reporting of results and issues
PLM Systems (Intermediate): Manage test artifacts and defect tracking
Agile Practices (Intermediate): Sprint planning, backlog, and progress updates
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing test frameworks or improving validation processes
- Experience defining validation KPIs and coverage metrics
- Knowledge of cloud–device integration in telematics systems
- Experience creating dashboards for test progress and quality tracking
