Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Business Analyst II to join our team in Richmond, Virginia, on a contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with technology and operations teams to gather and document business requirements, map processes, and support solution design and project execution. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to multiple program areas while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements to support project goals.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure clear communication of requirements among stakeholders.
Develop and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items in collaboration with product owners.
Create and maintain process flows, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) using tools like Visio.
Track project tasks, deliverables, and dependencies using portfolio management tools.
Document meeting outcomes, including decisions, action items, and follow-ups, to support project transparency.
Assist with testing activities and the coordination of change management efforts, including communication and training material development.
Generate dashboards and reports to provide project updates and insights for leadership.
Act as a liaison between business partners, IT teams, and leadership to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes for project resources and assist with procurement documentation.
Requirements
Proven experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Familiarity with workflow or project management tools like ServiceNow or Azure DevOps.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in process mapping, IT project support, or related areas.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
Preferred experience in IT or public health environments, with knowledge of Agile practices.
Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and work in a fast-paced environment.
